This magazine also uses a close up of the artist Kanye West, his direct mode of address show ignorance in his facial expression. The house style consists of the colours blue and pink which is great as they correspond to both sexes. This blue seems to be based around the colour of the collar on the jacket Kanye has on, the black may be used as it is a very neutral colour and stands out well on the light coloured background. The contrast of black and blue on the right hand side may have been used alternatively to make each one stand out and be as important as the other also the content of this specific text may only be recognized by the target audience as they all seem to be very high profile artists. Again the ‘VIBE’ title is covered up by the dominant image of the artist which shows the institution believes they’re established enough to do this. The target audience of this magazine would be fans of the music genre rap.
